When is the conference?
Sheraton on the Falls, 5875 Falls Avenue, Niagara Falls Ontario, L2G 3K7. Delegates must make and pay for their own travel and hotel arrangements.
What accommodations are available?
The special room rates for RHO2020 attendees are $139 for a City View room, or $159 for a Falls View room. Please call the hotel directly at 1-800-519-9911 and request the special convention rate for the Rainbow Health Ontario Conference. (No code required).

Who can attend the conference?
Anyone interested in LGBT2SQ health! We welcome health and social service providers, nurse practitioners, doctors, nurses, researchers, policy makers and community advocates.
How can I register for the conference? Online registration opens in late October. Early bird registration at a discount ends on Friday, January 17, 2020.

What does the pre-conference workshop registration fee include?
The registration fee includes a full day of learning and materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks on Tuesday, April 21 only.
Can I register online and pay later?
Yes, you can pay by check after you register online. Please make checks payable to “SHC/Rainbow Health Ontario Conference” in Canadian dollars. Payment must be received by Friday, January 17, 2020 to be eligible for the early bird rate.
Registration isn’t complete until you’ve paid in full.
Is there any financial assistance available?
Yes. A limited amount of funding assistance was made available through the conference Access Fund, which is now closed for applications.
Can I share the conference registration with another colleague from my workplace?
No, multiple people cannot alternate attendance based on one registration. The RHO 2020 Conference is designed to be a continuous learning experience that will maximize participants’ learning and networking opportunities.
Can I transfer my conference registration to another colleague if I am unable to attend?
Yes. Participant substitutions are welcome and must be made in writing in advance to the Conference Planner, Christine Baily at christine@bailyevents.com. Please include the names of both the original and substitute registrant. Substitutions must be made by Friday, April 3, 2020. Please note that any change or cancellation of travel or hotel reservations is the exclusive responsibility of the registrant.
Which parts of the conference will be available in French?
The conference is not fully bilingual, however both keynotes and one workshop room (all “A” sessions) throughout the entire conference will be simultaneously interpreted. Currently two workshops are being delivered in French.
What is the cancellation policy?
Due to high demand and limited space available at the RHO 2020 Conference, no cancellations will be permitted. Substitutions can be made by Friday, April 3, 2020. See above for details on requesting a substitution..
If I am presenting at the conference, do I need to register?
Yes. All confirmed presenters need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses and to register and pay the presenter’s special conference registration fee. We encourage you to attend and participate in the full conference to have the most benefit from your registration.
How can I become a sponsor or an exhibitor at the conference?
There are sponsorship, exhibition and advertising opportunities available at the RHO 2020 Conference. Please contact Christine@bailyevents.com for more information.
What networking opportunities are available at the conference?
There will be both formal and informal opportunities to network at the Conference, including caucuses and an area to exchange resources.
Where can I find the conference schedule and session descriptions?
This website has an overview of the conference agenda, however for the complete presenter bios and session descriptions and the most up-to-date information, please download the RHO 2020 Conference App for your Apple or Android device, or visit the web view of the app using Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
I’m planning my travel arrangements. When should I plan on arriving and departing?
Conference activities will begin with optional preconference on Tuesday, April 21. The full conference begins on Wednesday, April 22 at 8:00 am. Conference activities will end at approximately 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 23.
What do I wear at the conference?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. While some people might go for business casual, many attendees will dress for comfort and you’re welcome to do the same.

Accessibility at the Sheraton on the Falls hotel
- Wheelchair accessibility: All conference spaces at the venue are wheelchair accessible, as are a number of guest rooms (please be specific when making your hotel reservation).
- ASL: Sign Language Interpretation (ASL) will be available on request. However, if you do not request this service using the online conference registration system before Friday, January 24, 2020, we cannot guarantee it will be provided. Should you request this service, and be unable to attend the conference, you must notify us before Friday, February 21, 2020 so that we can cancel the ASL interpreters and avoid unnecessary costs.
- Assistive Listening Systems: These will be available on request, via hearing aids, headsets or other devices and may include infrared, loop and FM systems. Portable systems may also be available.
- Special diets: Conference participants will be able to indicate special diet requests on the online registration form. You will then be provided information about the specifics of your request when you check in at the conference registration desk.
